DIAGNOSTIC ASSESSMENT:
Diagnostic assessments include psychosocial assessment, safety assessment, and treatment plan discussion. Diagnostic assessments are required for all new clients or at the request of the therapist for returning clients. They are 60-90 minutes. Kiddos under 13, parent is required to attend at least a partial session and for kiddos under 10 it may be requested that this session is adults only.
ASSESSMENT FOR GENDER CONFIRMATION:
Lycan Counseling provides 1x assessments for gender confirmation surgery and, if appropriate, a letter for surgery. This can bill to insurance or is otherwise billed the same as a diagnostic assessment. No additional charge for the letter. Session will be 1:1 and will be 60-120 minutes depending on the client.
NOTE: If you would like to have ongoing sessions as well you will need to complete a diagnostic assessment IN ADDITION to this.
INDIVIDUAL THERAPY:
Lycan Counseling provides individual psychotherapy for clients ages 5-30. Individual therapy includes 1:1 sessions with a client, parent consultations, and meetings with a kiddo and parent. Sessions are 45-60 minutes.
TELEHEALTH:
In response to COVID19, Lycan Counseling is now providing telehealth sessions to those in Washington State. These sessions are through doxy.me, a HIPAA compliant software that is FREE to use. These sessions bill the same as in person sessions of the same type.
PARENT CONSULTATION/TRAINING:
At times working with parents is the most effective way at treating issues for kiddos. Parent consultation or parent training session are often, but not always, offered in conjunction with individual therapy for the identified client. Sessions will focus on building parenting skills/techniques, dealing with own emotions around parenting, education around kiddos problems. Sessions can be with or without kiddo present and this is decided by the therapist. Sessions are 45-60 minutes. Billed at the same rate as individual therapy.
COURT ORDERED SESSIONS:
Lycan Counseling does provide sessions to court ordered clients and will complete necessary paperwork and/or check ins with P.O.s for an additional out-of-pocket expense. Rates variable depending on requirements. Session itself is billable to insurance as individual therapy.
SCHOOL MEETINGS:
Lycan Counseling is happy to attend school meetings. This is an out-of-pocket expense that includes travel expense for mileage and time traveling to and from the meeting, as well as time in the meeting. Rates variable.
COORDINATION WITH OTHER PROVIDERS:
Lycan Counseling will gladly coordinate with other providers on your team for free up to 20 minutes. This will be done outside of session or time with you. It can look like faxing or emailing or speaking on the phone with other providers to coordinate care. None is done without written release of information and consent from you.
COORDINATION WITH NON-MEDICAL/NON-MENTAL HEALTH PROVIDERS:
Lycan Counseling will coordinate with others for current, ongoing clients such as a guardian ad litem (GAL), parole officer, probation counselor, court appointed guardian, etc. This is an out of pocket expense and are billed at the same rate as individual therapy in 15 minute increments. Details will be discussed in session.
Rates
Cash pay rates are shown second and are charged when not billing to ANY INSURANCE for ANY service. Otherwise standard rate will apply for all services unless otherwise agreed upon. Payment plans are offered.
Assessments: $150/$100
Individual therapy: $120/$80

It is your responsibility to know your copay and benefits ahead of session. I will not check for you. Lycan Counseling is IN NETWORK with the following insurance companies:

Lycan Counseling will bill OUT OF NETWORK if desired.
NOTE: it is your responsibility to know if you have an out of network benefit and what that is. Often, it is more cost effective to do cash pay, but sometimes it can be worth it. You will need to check for yourself ahead of session.
NOTE: If you choose to have me bill out of network and they do not pay, you are responsible for the standard fee for sessions billed. You may then later decide to switch to cash pay rate.
